Frequently Asked Questions about the Strike
CUPE 905 has stated that some employees have not had wage increases in 8 years, what are you doing about this?
As part of an independent, third party comparative salary review some positions have been red circled until they match competitive salary comparisons. As part of the bargaining process, we have reached consensus with CUPE 905 to provide an annual bonus to employees in this situation, equivalent to the pay increase being offered to all employees.
I heard the union is asking for full benefits for all part-time staff members.
CUPE 905 withdrew this request minutes before the strike deadline.
