Membership and Account Management
Library Membership
Membership is free to anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or owns property in Bradford West Gwillimbury, or lives in one of our reciprocal communities: King, East Gwillimbury, Newmarket, Innisfil, and New Tecumseth.
Out-of-area residents are welcome to join the Library for a $60 annual fee.
Account Management
Click here to access your account. Log on using your library card barcode (all numbers on the card, no spaces) or your registered email address and PIN/password.
If you have forgotten your password, simply click the Forgot My Password link or contact us during opening hours.
Use the My Library menu to access details about your account, including your current loans, renewing material, reservation management and updating your contact information and password. You can also manage any linked family accounts in this area.

Register for a Library Card
Visit us during opening hours to register for a card or Register Online to apply for a digital access card.
Online card applicants will have access to our online resources only. For full access to all library materials (including physical books, audiobooks, video games, magazines, etc.), please visit us in person with your ID.
Children under the age of thirteen (13) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to obtain a library card.
Accepted Forms of Identification
- Valid driver’s licence
- Valid Ontario photo card
- Photo ID + Pay stub or direct deposit email
- Photo ID + Utility or phone bill
- Photo ID + Bank statement
- Photo ID + Mortgage, lease or rental agreement
- Photo ID + Report card with address
- Photo ID + Current T4 statement
Lost or Stolen Library Cards
Report lost or stolen library cards to us as soon as possible so we can freeze your account. Please come to our Service Desk with valid ID to reactivate a found card or replace your library card free of charge.
Library Card Renewals
Most cards expire every two years. Please come to our Service Desk with your card and ID in hand to renew your account. Any fees must be cleared to renew an account (cash, credit and debit accepted).
