BWGPL Teen Book Review Tips and Format
What is a book review and how is it different than a summary?
A review of a book or game should share some key points of the plot, but not give away the entire story. You will want to convince others to want to read the book.
You should include:
- Examples of what you liked or disliked about the book. Are there compelling characters? Beautiful writing? Plot twists or storytelling that you love?
- Why should other teens read this book – or not? Be persuasive!
- Star ratings: at the end, share the number of stars out of 5.
Remember – try to keep the review to 150 to 250 words – no more than one page, double-spaced typed (12 pt font).

We may offer some feedback and comments to help improve your review before it is considered complete and shared.
