Getting Started with Beanstack
- Visit your app store to download the Beanstack Tracker App to your smartphone or device, or visit bwglibrary.beanstack.org to use the browser version.
- Register for an account. If more than one person in your household is registering for Beanstack, you can create one account for the whole family and then add multiple readers.
- Select one of the various challenges available or share a book review with the BWG community. If challenges are not your style, you can still use Beanstack to log what you read and keep track of your favourite books.
Summer Reading Clubs
TD Summer Reading Club for Children
TD Summer Reading Club
It’s GAME ON for kids with the TD Summer Reading Program. TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities. To track your summer reading, sign up for free with Beanstack through our website or download the mobile app.
For pre-readers (ages 5 and under), parents can track their reading by logging the books you have read together. You can even log the number of times you read a book.
Children 6 to 12 can log the time they spent reading...and all reading materials count, including books, magazines, comics, eBooks, audiobooks and newspapers.
Readers will earn badges by hitting various milestones and with Beanstack you can do more than just track your reading. Earn badges by submitting book reviews and engaging in other activities such as making crafts and playing games. For every badge you earn, your name is entered into a draw for cool prizes such as gift certificates for ice cream or treats at local businesses.
The Library’s TD Summer Reading Program offers you even more opportunities for fun! Throughout the summer, follow us on Facebook to find crafts, Storytimes and other fun activities for kids and families. Be sure to join our TDSRC Facebook group.
