Indigenous Public Art Spotlight BWG
An exciting new Indigenous-led artistic installation coming to BWG
Last spring BWG Library and Cultural Centre received funding from the County of Simcoe's 2024 Tourism, Culture and Sport Enhancement Fund and from the Friends of the BWG Library to commission a new piece of Indigenous-led public art to be installed in the Café of the Library and Cultural Centre.
We are pleased to announce the opening of a new Call for Proposals. We are seeking applications from professional First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit visual artists.
The deadline for proposal submissions has been extended to Friday, April 25. Review of submissions and selection will then take place, with the assistance of members of BWG's resident-led group Odenaang Circle and project consultants STEPS Public Art.
Watch this space for more information about this exciting project.
